Are you a Travel Agent?
At Hertz, we regard you as valued partners in our distribution and service delivery system, recognising your significant contribution to our success in serving business and leisure travellers world-wide. This section aims to provide key information to help you deal with Hertz - should you require further assistance, please contact us.
Hertz standard commission policy ("Policy") is directed exclusively to Hertz approved travel agencies and affiliated partners based in Europe, Middle East and Africa, defined as sellers of travel ("Travel Partners"), who make reservations on behalf of customers, and have obtained an IATA, TIDS, ABTA, TACO or recognised Hertz booking number and this number was notified to Hertz with the reservation.
This Policy applies to 'front-end' commission paid for completed rentals on Qualifying Retail Tariffs, irrespective of booking channel, e.g. phone, GDS or web - www.hertzagent.com.
There are some tariffs, for example, negotiated corporate rates, travel industry staff rates and net rate programmes, which are non-commissionable. Commission will not be earned by Travel Partners on rentals that include a Corporate Discount Programme (“CDP”) number for individually negotiated corporate rates, regardless of whether the negotiated rate is utilized.
Commission will not be earned on any no-show reservations or cancellations (including reservations cancelled by Hertz as the result of a failure to meet rental conditions or qualifications).
Commissions on rentals will be deemed earned at the completion of each rental or receipt of payment for that rental (whichever is later). Normally, commissions will be processed no later than the 25th of each month paying all transactions that have generated commission for the previous calendar month.
Commission represents a percentage of the time and mileage charges for the rental reservation booked, as that reservation stood at the time the rental was scheduled to occur, less all other charges associated with the reservation or paid by the customer, including but not limited to any discounts, taxes, duties, levies, vehicle license and registration fees or charges (including, without limitation, credit card fees); surcharges; charges for the purchase of loss/collision damage waiver, theft protection and insurance coverage; vehicle upgrade charges; facility charges; location service charges; delivery and collection, one-way and drop charges; airport and other concession and vehicle licensing fee recoveries; other expense recoveries; additional driver and age differential charges; charges for Neverlost service, for child seats, fuel and refuelling.
