Hertz in Romania
Hertz Rent a Car has been present in Romania since 1975 working with ACR as franchisee. In June 1995 the Hertz license was taken over by AAA Autorent SRL (previously Sepoy Turism International SRL), whose Head Office was located on Calea Dorobantilor in Bucharest. The first rental office furnished and organized according to Hertz standards was opened in the lobby of the Hotel Dorobanti followed by the office in the arrival terminal at the Otopeni International Airport. Continuously investing, the company extended its presence throughout the country by opening offices in Constanta, Cluj Napoca Airport, Oradea, Timisoara, Timisoara Airport, Targu Mures, Sibiu and in Bucharest in boath Airports and in the lobby of the prestigious hotels Hilton, Crowne Plaza and Marriott.
In May 2007 Hertz Romania moved to no.3, Natiunile Unite Blvd.. The Head Office is linked to the worldwide Amadeus Reservation System allowing immediate contact with all Hertz rental location worldwide. Bookings can be sent and confirmation obtained within a few minutes.
Currently Hertz Romania operates a fleet of some 350 vehicles (cars and vans), mainly Ford, Opel, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Land Rover and Renault of the latest generation. To meet the customers' expectation the cars are usually less than one year old. They are continuously checked and any car showing even a small defect is withdrawn from the fleet for immediate repairs.
Always concerned about the customers' safety and comfort, Hertz Romania offers only vehicles corresponding to the standards imposed by the European Union. Almost all our vehicles are equipped with Airbags, ABS, Power brakes and Power steering, Air conditioning, Radio/Tape player, Centralized lock and a Safety package consisting of a Reflecting Emergency Triangle, a full size First Aid Kit and a Fire Extinguisher. The tires are always adapted to the season.
Wishing to serve the customers wherever they are, Hertz Romania maintains a tight cooperation with the authorities of the all international airports, with all major airlines and hotels throughout the country as well as the important tour operators and travel agencies.
