Old Town Festival

The City Hall of Bucharest has organized for all its inhabitants and foreign tourist an unique cultural event that celebrates the recent transformation of the Old Town. In the past two years, the Old Town has turned what was very much a no-go area with almost nothing to offer into the Romanian capital's liveliest entertainment district.

Therefore, during 26 August-18 September, for 4 consecutive weekends, theatre troops and famous music bands will animate the old centre of the city with its streets: Lipscani, Selari and Smardan. There will be shows on stages and on the streets, all harmoniously combined as an international festival. The Old Town area will become the place for numerously street shows, theatre, live music, acrobatics, circus, jugglings, mime, dance etc.
